Vision

Ignite Academia by Ignite the Spark is a sub-community for all scholars in the energy field. Our goal is to connect Academia &industry and helping students to take their first steps in the Energy-tech world. We believe that expending students knowledge base about the energy world will assist them integrating in the industry and making better career choices and perhaps starting their own venture.

Our student energy clubs (managed by amazing club managers) are active in 7 Universities across Israel. During the academic year, club members participate in events and lectures at their campuses and online , getting to know some the energy eco system best professionals

and frontline technological innovations and by visiting Energy companies and startups.

Activity:

In the last year we have hosted 5 mind-expanding lectures.

•Dr. Amit Mor introduced us to new clean energy solutions.

• We heard about the Climate Conference in Glasgow.

• A lecture about the use of fuel cells.

•We host Gidon Freidman, the head scientist in the Ministry of Energy

• We participate in a panel with professors from the Engineering faculty.

Our vision:

to help promote the green energy revolution in jerusalem through raising awareness among the population, making information accessible, and connecting academia, students and industry.

Activity & Lectures :

•Energy on the Bar – Once a month we host in Jerusalem city center a lecture about the energy transition. From our top lectures: Gideon Freidman , (the head scientist in the Ministry of Energy) and Gil Shavit (from GenCell company who professionalize at restorage energy).

•Career event – on the 14/12/2022 we will host in the Hebrew university few lectures on how to peruse a career where you make an impact and enjoy financially.

•On January 2023 we will arrange a University meetup for professors and students studding and researching in the energy field.

Our vision:

GreeNegev community will lead the field of renewable energy at Ben-Gurion University, will develop the field in the Negev in Israel and in the world.

The community will raise awareness, expand the world of content of the students and researchers on campus, in order to influence their decisions and their careers, knowing that academia has a direct impact on the future of the field.

The community will promote entrepreneurship and employment in the field among students and faculty of Ben-Gurion University and among the general public.

Activity & Lectures :

Our vision:

GreenEnergy Student Cell at Technion seek to expose and connect students to the renewable energy and climate-tech industry. We believe that through collaborations between students, researches and the industry - we can help create innovations to help solve the energy crisis and climate change.

Activity:

• Lectures by representatives from several innovating companies (Brenmiller – thermal energy storage, Augwind – energy storage by using air pressure, Luminescent – new efficient heat engine, and more).

• Lecture by Dr. Amit Mor about challenges in the local and global energy sector.

• Special tour in Appolo Power, the company that seek to replace the standard photovoltaic panels with flexibal “Energy Films”.

•Many more interesting activities.
