Build Back Better

Vision

In the aftermath of October 7th, we have an unprecedented opportunity to transform devastated communities into models of sustainability and resilience. On October 7th, the tragic events displaced 64,000 residents, led to the evacuation of 24 communities, and caused damages exceeding 5 billion NIS.

Build Back Better isn't just about reconstruction – it's about reimagining our communities stronger and better. By fostering cutting-edge technologies, energy independence and setting new benchmarks for resilient development, this initiative aims to inspire communities around the world.

The Tkuma region is poised to become a beacon of innovation, where sustainable energy solutions meet economic opportunity. By leveraging advanced technologies and fostering energy resilience, we’ll create a regulatory sandbox that drives innovation, creates green jobs, and reduces emissions. This transformation will not only strengthen community bonds, but also establish the region as Israel's leading hub for energy technology innovation—proving that even in the wake of a crisis, we can push towards meaningful and impactful progress.

Faced with significant challenges and limited resources, communities struggle to plan and implement impactful energy projects. Ignite the Spark provides the expertise, innovation, and guidance to turn these challenges into opportunities.

Virtual Power Plant at Kibbutz Zikim

The houses in the expansion are not connected to the kibbutz’s distribution grid, but rather the national grid, which suffers from frequent disruptions. Battery Energy Storage Systems will be integrated to the solar production in the residents’ houses and aggregated to create a Virtual Power Plant.

FOAK & NOAK Leadership

Tkuma has the opportunity to become a model region for green innovation in Israel and beyond by pioneering disruptive First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) technologies and scaling proven Nth-of-a-Kind (NOAK) solutions for widespread adoption. This approach positions the region as a hub for energy innovation with high scalability potential.

Scalability Potential

The project has a clear path to expand and succeed in similar communities. If scaled 10x, it could save 15,370 MWh of energy and cut 7,500 tons of CO2 annually. At 100x, the impact grows to 153,700 MWh saved and 75,000 tons of CO2 reduced each year.

Join Our Mission

We call on experts, large companies, startups, innovation communities, investment entities and service providers who know how to add value in this movement to join us. We consider it appropriate to see the difficult times we are facing as an opportunity to build a better and sustainable future here.

In addition to our normal events that are as complex as the ones we are experiencing today, including climate crises, we would like to build an organization that looks to the future, and that knows how to bring the most appropriate technologies suitable to restore and build in a high-quality, efficient, progressive and sustainable manner. Let's unite to rebuild.
